Founded in 2006 by the oil-rich emirate of Dubai, the company is creating an aerospace powerhouse from the ground up operating through six divisions: Airports (airport construction and management), Capital (aircraft leasing, finance, and insurance), Engineering (engine overhaul, maintenance, and service), Manufacturing (aerospace components), Services (technology-based aerospace products and services), and University (undergraduate, master, and PhD programs in aviation-related fields).
