Geothermal Resources Limited (Geothermal Resources) is an Australia-based company engaged in the exploration and development of geothermal energy. The Company carries out exploration activities on its exploration tenements in South Australia. It holds geothermal exploration licenses (GELs) in two buried granite terrains that are considered prospective for substantial hot fractured rock geothermal energy sources. The Frome project covers buried granites of the Olary region, which is capable of generating considerable amounts of heat through natural radioactive decay processes. The Crower project covers buried granites of the Padthaway Ridge, overlapped by the northern margin of the Otway Basin. The Company’s parent entity is Havilah Resources NL.
