The Community Hiring Hall is a non-profit temporary employment service serving the Greater Cleveland area. Our goal is to pay day laborers a living wage, ensure proper working conditions for our laborers and ultimately prepare them for permanent employment. We work with a coalition of community organizations, social service providers, private foundations and organized labor to provide job training and counseling services for our workers. Since our founding in 2003, we have placed hundreds of workers in positions paying $8-$10.00 per hour. In 2005, we expect to supply over 130,000 hours of labor to participating employers.
