Blackburn Rovers Football Club bonds together men, women, and children in the name of English football (soccer). Established in 1890, the club was a founding member of The Football League, and has roving the pitch ever since. The men's team last won the league title in 1994, a few months before the launch of the English Premiership. True to its name, the team has moved easily between divisions currently playing in the Premiership with a couple of seasons in the lower division (1999-2001). In 2004 the "Rovers Ladies" won their conference without losing or drawing a single game. The club also runs a successful Youth Academy. Blackburn's uniform is sponsored by Lonsdale.
