Metal Flex was founded by Barrie W. Hume in Derby, Vermont in 1981. In 1982 the company constructed a new facility in the Newport Industrial Park and has experienced continuous expansion ever since. Metal Flex has grown from a two employee operation in a 1,000 sq. ft. facility to today's two facilities with over 30,000 sq. feet combined, located in Newport, Vermont and Sparks, Nevada. More than one dozen of our employees have been with the company for more than 20 years. Our sales and design team is comprised of individuals with decades of pioneering experience in this unique field. Metal Flex performs all designing, manufacturing, and testing activities in-house. Our new lab facility has strengthened this aspect of our testing ability. We have an expansive selection of tooling sizes in stock, and we are able to create and produce specific sizes to fulfill your needs. Whether it is small quantity prototype orders or "blanket-type" production orders, Metal Flex can meet your customized requirements. Metal Flex Welded Bellows, Inc. products are used worldwide in the aerospace, nuclear, semiconductor, cryogenic, chemical, and petrochemical industries. Our bellows are specifically designed for valves and seals in pressure and vacuum applications.
